1) My business or municipality desires to use the services of SIGMA. Where is the company authorized to perform engineering services, specifically work that must be CERTIFIed by a licensed Professional Engineer?
The company is currently licensed to perform engineering services in the following states (US): Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and South Carolina. However, if you reside in a state different than these listed, the staff has NCEES records on file that can be transferred to your state to get expedited licensure. Other consulting services not requiring a stamp by a Professional Engineer can be completed by the company, as requested.
2) As a teacher or youth instructor, does the company form lesson plans from your learning courses, such as "Environmental Science for Kids," or are they stand-alone?
First of all, we commend you for your service in preparing our next generation of teachers, doctors, and engineers! We are flexible with the teachers and instructors we work with to provide lesson plans that best meet your kids' needs. Sometimes that allows us to pair certain learning courses with the lesson plans, and other times we determine that this is not the most effective learning plan for your students. Either way, the ultimate goal is to collaborate in giving your kids the best educational value they deserve.
3) My family is beginning to live more sustainably, and we feel that watching one of your learning courses will take us to the next level. However, we are not quite ready to purchase a training course. What does SIGMA recommend for families like mine that may not be ready or able to make a financial investment right now?

4) I feel that people aren't as aware as they should be regarding different environmental challenges we face as a society. Does the company conduct presentations for schools and communities, i.e. career fairs, forums, etc., to give people this valuable information other than from your website?
Our first core value is "service through education," so it's the company's duty to share this information whenever (and wherever) we have the opportunity. Contact us if you have an event in which you would like for us to participate, or if you have an idea of an forum-type setting we can collaborate with you on to make this idea a reality. As complex as many environmental challenges are, change and resolution starts when we have simple conversations with our families, our neighbors, and our colleagues. We want to join you in facilitating this dialogue so we can all be part of the solutions.
5) I have little to no knowledge regarding environmental topics and I do not see any connections between them and my personal life, so why should I care or be concerned?
We definitely understand your perspective regarding the apparent lack of connections between environmental topics and "everyday culture." We suggest you subscribe to our series titled "The Culture & The Environment" on YouTube where we discuss some ties between the two that go unnoticed daily, and how some will soon be directly affecting your life.
