Many philosophers and scholars around the world have been documented as stating some version of the phrase "Knowledge is Power." Any of them could not have imagined the marvel (or in some cases the misery) that would become known as the "internet" ever existing, a massive super highway of information that gives readers more information today than some people 100 years ago could not encounter in a lifetime. Now that information, whether knowledge, opinion, or pure myths, is at your fingertips waiting to be consumed…or thrown away…or used as fuel for an opinion you have waited patiently to be made into fact to prove your neighbor or irritating colleague wrong.
Welcome to what our world has come to: a constant battle between left and right, up and down, fat or skinny, white or black, red or blue, and the list continues forever. But if you are reading this, I think you know one of the world’s best kept secrets.
The past, present, and the future all share one common thing: TRUTH
The truth can be painful, it can make people uncomfortable, and it can challenge the basic foundations upon which you have centered your life. But it’s the only thing that will last for eternity. Any other thing that you hold firmly too, whether that be your job, your socioeconomic class, or even your political preferences, will eventually fade away. Millions of people center their lives around one or more of these things, so this can be very troubling to hear it will eventually disappear. I do have some good news though: the truth will easily replace all of these makeshift things you like and provide you with what you've been longing for.
What we will do at SIGMA Environmental is present the truth as plainly as we can, and do so in a manner that gives you the freedom to take it and use it as you may. Some will take it and toss it in the trash, only to find out that the truth is not as biodegradable as that banana you did not finish for lunch. Some will try to twist it in a way to prove that their preferences are actually true; unfortunately the truth is like a sword that cannot be twisted into another shape or object of your choosing.
I have a feeling you are different though. You will take the truth and use it as a foundation to build your life upon, to use it as a ladder that lifts others up from the valleys of ignorance onto the peaks of clarity, wisdom, and proper judgment. You will hold the truth up as a lantern for all of humanity to see, highlighting the best qualities of all people realizing that we will all be needed in a joint effort to preserve our world as a place of beauty and majesty, as well as a place to thrive for all of Earth’s inhabitants.
We are an environmental service company that aims to provide you with as much environmental knowledge as you possibly want, because at the end of time that’s all anyone will remember about SIGMA Environmental. What were its values? What did it stand for? Did they stand on gossip and falsehoods, or did they deliver the truth? Hopefully the world will say that we gave our best efforts in ensuring that all people across the world had access to a thorough environmental education that will allow them to be the change they want to see in the world.
What will your legacy be for you and your family? How will you improve the world? What truths can you use to positively make your household, your community, and your town a better place?
These are questions that will take a lifetime to fully answer, but you realizing your full potential is the most important step in that journey.
